Block the silhouette
Major mass comes out first — posture, head, shoulders, limbs, and the proportions that make the character read from a distance.
Find the expression
Eyes, muzzle, brow, mouth, ears, and stance turn anatomy into personality.
Cut the detail
Fur, feathers, fabric, tools, scales, grain, and edge work build depth without erasing the fact that it is wood.
Finish the surface
Color and clear finish are used selectively so natural wood remains part of the final composition.
Document the piece
Finished photography and, for select carvings, process video turn the carving into a documented original.
